This workshop is designed foor newbie in Azure World. If You never, ever touch Azure - this is the right choice. This workshop is also designated for ITPros with beginners level. If You have some experience - this is right choice. We will have only eight hours for meeting with Azure - but I hope it will be enough for beginning. In this one day pre-conf workshop You will be able to improve your knowledge about this platform. Some aspects which will be covered on workshop:

* history and architecture

* first contact

* best practices for beginners

* working with azure in the cloud and on premise

* backup and restore tools and solutions

* security and compliance in azure

* first, second and third party tools for azure

This workshop will be combined with my talks, presentation slides, demos and of course labs. Everything what You will need: notebook with installed SQL Server 2014 Standard or Enterprise (of course You can use 180-Days Trial version downlowaded from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-sql-server-2014). If You will have Windows 8 will be great. If not Windows 7 will be enough, but...
